Safety Standards

Community rules for Endear

Endear is for adults seeking intentional dating. These standards explain what is not allowed, how to report, how blocking works, and how Endear may respond.

Effective Date: May 26, 2026. Last Updated: May 26, 2026.

1. Who Endear is for

Endear is for adults 18 and older who can lawfully use a dating service. Endear is not for minors, commercial solicitation, paid companionship, trafficking, harassment, scams, or attempts to evade safety controls.

2. Prohibited content and conduct

  • Harassment, bullying, stalking, threats, intimidation, blackmail, sextortion, coercion, or repeated unwanted contact.
  • Hate, abuse, dehumanizing content, or threats based on protected or personal characteristics.
  • Sexual exploitation, non-consensual sexual content, image-based abuse, trafficking, prostitution solicitation, or coercive sexual conduct.
  • Child sexual abuse material, child sexual exploitation, grooming, sexualization of minors, or attempts to contact minors.
  • Scams, fraud, spam, phishing, investment schemes, romance fraud, payment pressure, fake emergencies, or requests for money.
  • Impersonation, fake identities, stolen photos, misleading profile information, AI-generated fake personas, or unauthorized use of another person's likeness.
  • Graphic violence, credible threats, weapon intimidation, self-harm encouragement, or instructions for abuse.
  • Private information sharing, doxing, contact-info evasion, external links designed to bypass safety gates, or QR/payment-handle solicitation.
  • Attempts to scrape, automate, reverse engineer, overload, or bypass Endear systems.

3. Photo and profile standards

Profile content must represent you honestly. Do not upload photos of minors as dating participants, nudity, graphic content, weapons used as threats, private documents, third-party images without permission, social handles or payment handles intended to evade product rules, or images that mislead users about your identity.

4. Consent and offline conduct

Consent must be affirmative, informed, specific, and reversible. Endear may review reports about off-app behavior when the conduct affects user safety, including threats, harassment, assault, coercion, fraud, stalking, doxing, sextortion, or impersonation. If you are in immediate danger, contact local emergency services first.

5. Reporting

Use in-app report actions on supported profile screens to report harassment, hate or abuse, inappropriate photos or sexual content, threats or violence, scams or spam, impersonation, underage safety concerns, or other issues. Add detail when it helps moderation understand the risk.

You may also contact support@joinendear.com. For child safety issues, use the subject "Endear child safety concern."

6. Blocking

Use in-app block actions on supported profile screens to block a profile. Blocking is designed to prevent future product-serving between the accounts. Blocking does not necessarily remove safety, fraud, legal, payment, or audit records.

7. What happens after a report

Endear may review account data, profile content, photos, reports, blocks, internal signals, moderation history, and relevant product activity. Endear may take no action, warn, restrict, remove content, hide a profile, suspend, ban, preserve evidence, or contact law enforcement when appropriate.

Endear does not promise that every report will be manually reviewed within a specific timeframe unless a published support commitment says so. Severe child-safety, violence, self-harm, or imminent-harm issues should be escalated through emergency services when immediate safety is at risk.

8. Appeals

If your account or content was restricted and you believe the decision was wrong, contact support@joinendear.com. Endear may limit appeal detail when disclosure would harm another user, reveal abuse-detection methods, compromise safety, or conflict with law.

9. Fraud and dating-specific notices

Endear does not conduct criminal background checks on every user. Endear may require phone, email, age, location, or photo-related checks, but those checks do not guarantee identity, background, intent, or safety. Never send money, gift cards, cryptocurrency, bank credentials, identity documents, or private images to someone pressuring you.

Colorado users can review this safety policy for required online dating safety disclosures. New York users may receive notices if they interacted with an account removed for suspected fraud where required by law.

10. Emergency resources

Endear is not an emergency service. If you are in immediate danger, call local emergency services. For sexual assault support in the United States, consider RAINN at rainn.org. For child exploitation reports, use NCMEC resources or contact law enforcement.
