Rules for using Endear

1. Who may use Endear

You may use Endear only if you are at least 18 years old, can form a binding agreement, are not barred from using dating services by law, and agree to these Terms, the Privacy Policy, and the Safety Standards.

You may not use Endear if you are required to register as a sex offender, if you have been removed or banned from Endear, or if your use would violate law, court order, platform rules, or these Terms.

2. Account responsibility

You must provide accurate account and profile information, keep your login method secure, and promptly update information that becomes inaccurate. You may not create accounts for other people, sell or transfer accounts, use fake identities, impersonate someone, or use another person's photos, likeness, phone number, email address, or contact details without permission.

Endear may require phone, email, age, location, photo, or other checks to operate the service. These checks reduce abuse but do not guarantee that every user is who they say they are.

3. User content and profile license

You keep ownership of content you submit, including profile text, answers, photos, reports, and other materials. You grant Endear a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, sublicensable, and transferable license to host, store, reproduce, display, adapt, moderate, analyze, and use your content as needed to operate, improve, secure, promote, and enforce Endear.

You represent that you have all rights and permissions needed for the content you submit, including rights to photos, likenesses, names, and statements. You may not submit private, confidential, illegal, infringing, non-consensual, or exploitative content.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to harass, threaten, stalk, coerce, exploit, defraud, spam, dox, impersonate, manipulate, sexually exploit, solicit minors, share non-consensual intimate content, upload objectionable content, or pressure other users to move off Endear for unsafe or fraudulent reasons.

You may not scrape, reverse engineer, interfere with, overload, probe, or bypass Endear systems, safety gates, payment systems, rate limits, geographic controls, or moderation processes.

5. Dating and offline safety

Endear provides compatibility and profile features, but dating involves independent human choices and offline risk. Endear does not guarantee that another user is truthful, compatible, available, safe, interested, responsive, single, or legally eligible to date.

You are responsible for your offline decisions. Meet in public, tell someone you trust, control your own transportation, keep financial information private, and contact local emergency services if you are in immediate danger.

6. Moderation, reports, blocks, and enforcement

Endear may use automated tools, human review, user reports, internal signals, and vendor systems to detect abuse. These systems are imperfect and do not monitor every interaction. Endear may remove content, hide profiles, block delivery, warn users, restrict accounts, suspend accounts, ban accounts, preserve evidence, or decline to take action.

Users can report profiles or content from supported in-app profile surfaces and can block profiles from supported in-app profile surfaces. Blocking helps prevent future product-serving between accounts, but it may not erase records needed for safety, fraud, legal, financial, or audit reasons.

If you believe an enforcement decision was wrong, contact support@joinendear.com. Appeals may be limited when safety, legal, fraud, or child-safety risks are involved.

7. Child safety

Endear is adult-only. Minors may not create accounts or appear as dating participants. Child sexual abuse material, child sexual exploitation, grooming, sextortion, trafficking, or attempts to contact minors are prohibited. Endear may remove content, ban accounts, preserve evidence, and report apparent child-safety issues to NCMEC or law enforcement where required or appropriate.

8. AI-assisted features

Endear may use AI-assisted tools for voice transcription, profile drafting, compatibility summaries, safety screening, moderation support, and related product features. AI output may be inaccurate, incomplete, biased, offensive, non-unique, or unsuitable. You are responsible for reviewing anything you publish or rely on.

AI-assisted content does not create dating advice, psychological advice, safety advice, legal advice, or a guarantee of compatibility. You may not use AI-assisted features to deceive, impersonate, manipulate, create fake personas, or misrepresent yourself.

9. Payments and Letters

Endear may offer paid features through Apple, Google, RevenueCat, or other approved billing infrastructure. Payments are subject to the app store, payment processor, and applicable law.

Letters are a limited, revocable, non-transferable digital license or credit for specific in-app functionality. Letters are not money, banked funds, stored value, property, gift cards, securities, cash equivalents, or transferable assets. Letters cannot be sold, transferred, redeemed for cash, or used outside Endear.

Using or purchasing Letters does not guarantee a match, reply, contact exchange, date, relationship, compatibility, safety, or continued availability of another user. Refunds, cancellations, restores, and unused paid digital items are handled according to applicable law and Apple or Google platform rules.

10. Third-party services

Endear may rely on third-party services for hosting, storage, authentication, SMS, email, AI, maps, analytics, observability, payments, app distribution, and safety operations. Third-party services may have their own terms and policies. Endear is not responsible for third-party services outside our control.

11. Account deletion and data requests

You may start account deletion in the app through Account & Safety or through the public Account Deletion page. Deletion removes or anonymizes many account records and blocks product access, but some safety, fraud, financial, legal, backup, and audit records may be retained where necessary.

12. Service changes and termination

Endear may change, suspend, limit, or discontinue features at any time. Endear may terminate or restrict your access if we believe you violated these Terms, created risk, used the service unlawfully, or exposed other users, Endear, or the public to harm.

13. Intellectual property

Endear, its design, software, branding, copy, product flows, and service materials are owned by Endear or its licensors. These Terms do not transfer Endear intellectual property to you.

14. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

Endear is provided as available and as is. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Endear disclaims warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, accuracy, availability, safety, compatibility, and uninterrupted operation.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Endear will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, punitive, or lost-profit damages, or for user conduct, offline interactions, third-party services, or unauthorized access outside Endear's reasonable control.

15. Apple and Google terms

If you download Endear through Apple or Google, your use is also subject to the applicable app store terms. Apple and Google are not responsible for Endear except as required by their platform rules and applicable law.

16. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and applicable law, except where local consumer law requires otherwise, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, except where local consumer law requires otherwise. Any dispute process must comply with applicable law and app-store rules.

17. Changes and contact

Endear may update these Terms. If changes are material, Endear will provide notice through the app, website, email, or another reasonable method. Continued use after the effective date means you accept the updated Terms.
